Screen WM are extremely thrilled to announce today the launch of the region’s premier awards solely dedicated to the screen media industry.

The media talent awards will recognise and promote the West Midlands’ thriving screen media industry and is an excellent way of celebrating the innovative and diverse region.

Screen media is a huge industry with over 4,000 audiovisual establishments collectively employing over 23,000 people (not including freelancers) in the West Midlands alone. Screen WM constantly strive to support and develop this growing sector and have created these awards in order to acknowledge and draw attention to the abundance of activity that takes place.

The media talent awards consist of three different categories; the new filmmaker, excellence in development and outstanding achievement awards; and applicants can either nominate themselves or someone else.

Deadline for the applications is Friday 29th September with winners will be announced in a ceremony in the autumn.
