The Electric Cinema Centenary Celebration open to the public on Dec 21st at 6.30pm

The Electric Cinema marks its centenary year this December with a very special evening celebrating the building’s fascinating history. Hosted by owner Tom Lawes, the event will take audiences through the many incarnations the building has been through since 1909, from news theatre to a cinema offering soft porn and exploitation flicks. Featuring archive footage that hasn’t been seen for over seventy years, this is an exceedingly rare chance to delve into the colourful history of the UK’s oldest working cinema
