FREE ANIMATION AND VIDEO PRODUCTION COURSES AT LIGHT HOUSE, WOLVERHAMPTON


Are you interested in developing your animation and video production skills? Are you over 19, unemployed and residing in Birmingham, the Black Country and Hereford & Worcestershire? Light House is offering a selection of FREE animation techniques courses throughout 2007 and 2008 including….
 

TRADITIONAL ANIMATION LEVEL 1
Start date 14th January ’08
3 days per week
Mon, Thurs, Fri 10am-4pm (6 weeks)

Covering a range of key animation skills including timing, movement, sound and preparation of artwork for 2D and 3D projects, this course will not only develop practical animation skills but will also provide students with the knowledge and skills with which to pitch ideas to clients and to manage projects through every stage of the production process.
 

INTRO TO FLASH ANIMATION
Start date 10th March ‘08
3 days per week
Mon, Fri, Sat, 10am-4pm (3 weeks)

This course is intended as an introduction to web based animations for learners with no prior experience of animation. Students will be introduced to the main features of the Adobe Flash interface. They will then create simple animations for the web using a combination of their own designs and existing animation files. Students will be encouraged to explore their own designs and create a short animation for the web.
 

NCFE CERTIFICATE IN VIDEO PRODUCTION LEVEL 2
16th January – 20th March '08
2 days per week
Wed & Thurs 10am - 4pm (10 wks)

This course is designed for those who want to learn the basics of video production. It will cover the creative use of video, camera operation, sound, lighting and editing, with the main aim to produce either an information piece or a short advertisement. The course will also address the preparation for employment in the video/film/TV production industry. This part of the course will explore job opportunities, business practice and personal career development. Dates TBC.

All courses are accredited to National Open College Network.
