Up until the festival the newsletter will be bringing you the highlights of this years festival and offers from our partners. This week you can get hold of a free issue of Imagine Magazine!

UPDATE! Roger McIntosh will be on the panel for the portfolio reviews, an Animation Director with more than 30 years experience in the industry. Credits include Who framed Roger Rabbit, Beatrix Potter, Testament, Kipper, Percy the Park keeper and Angelina Ballerina.

 

BIrmingham International Film Society

The Library Theatre, Birmingham

This is a special pre-launch Flip event in conjunction with Birmingham International Film Society. The District is an outrageous and visually stunning animated satire from multiaward winning Hungarian director Áron Gauder. More

The White Wolf is an animated short from French director, Pierre-Luc Granjon. More

Open Shorts Screenings


Friday 7 Nov 9.45 – 11.00am

This year the festival again received an abundance of films from around the world. The first screening of the festival will include a special focus on CGI films many of which have received awards and citations at other festivals. More

Saturday 8 Nov 9.45 – 11.00am

The second screening of the festival will concentrate on international shorts films many of which have received awards and citations at other festivals. More

Saturday 8 Nov 5.30 – 6.30pm

This is the third screening of shorts, an eclectic mix covering 2D, stop motion and 3D. More
 
 

Student Showcase

 
Saturday 8 Nov 6.45 – 8.30pm

This screening will showcase films from a number of UK universities and colleges, including Staffordshire University, the University of Wolverhampton, Derby University, Birmingham City University, School of media Arts, Dundee and Edinburgh College of Art. This is an opportunity to check out some of the upcoming talent from around the region and beyond.

Followed by an award ceremony when we announce the winners of the Open Shorts and Student Competition. More
