FILM FESTIVAL STYLE SCREENING EVENT
Tuesday 10th July, 7:30pm onwards at Mono bar, Arcadian - Birmingham. Hurst Street, B5 4TD
PLEASE NOTE: MONO BAR IS STRICTLY OVER 18'S
(The arcadian is next to Birmingham Hippodrome on Hurst Street, China Town, roughly a 5min walk from new Street Train Station. Please follow the Teppanyaki link for a map.)
I have organized a night to screen some short films that I have worked on. I have also invited local artists to show their material and promote some up and coming shows or events. I am hoping the night will be a great chance to network, showcase and have a few drinks whilst finding out about the local talent. If this proves popular I will be organizing a regular event for us all to screen and showcase our work and hopefully attract more industry professionals.
Showings on the night include 'Window' written and directed by P.D.Blake, 'Lycanthropy' written and directed by Kevin McDonagh - Rotunda Films (This has just been screened at the Cannes film festival), 'Stand Up' a film by Robert Golcher (this has also recently been shown at the Cannes Film Festival), various showings from Adam Turner - Damn Right Entertainment, show reels from various actors / directors / camera operators, various songs from local groups, artists work and promotions for upcoming shows - including shows performing at the Edinburgh Festival.
If it is easier for you to attend from work or you would require an evening
meal through out the night there is a highly recommended Japanese restaurant next door to the Mono Bar that opens at 6pm. Bookings can be made on 0121 622 5183, Please find the website below which contains a map and menu:
