After being posted on YouTube just two days ago, Screen WM's latest production "Straightheads" has become the 11th top favourite video on the site globally. If you fancy a sneak peak at the trailer, click here.
"Straightheads" was co-financed by Screen West Midlands in 2005 and stars Gillian Anderson ("The X-Files," "Bleak House") and Danny Dyer ("The Business"). The film was set and shot in the West Midlands - Location Manager Andrew Cooke used his extensive kowledge of the region to find the forest locations in Shropshire and Worcestershire that were integral to key scenes in the film.
"Straightheads" is written and directed by BAFTA nominated director Dan Reed, previously best known for his documentaries "The Valley" and "Terror in Moscow", and produced by Damian Jones ("Millions") and Kevin Loader ("Enduring Love", "Captain Corelli's Mandolin"). Dan honed his skills as a filmmaker in Birmingham in the early nineties and relished to opportunity to shoot the film in the region.
