The Deaf Film and Television Festival 2006

 
The Deaf Film and Television Festival 2006 will be held at Light House in Wolverhampton, Friday 1 – Sunday 3 December. During the weekend there will be a packed programme of films, panel discussions, networking opportunities and social events. All events and screenings will be FREE.


Highlights of this year’s Festival include:

- Special celebration of 25 years of BBC See Hear

- The John Smith Show, featuring comedian John Smith

- A special signed family screening of the digitally restored Wizard of Oz (U)

- Open submissions from Deaf filmmakers and TV producers from UK & abroad

- Launch of a new Film bursary scheme

- Opening reception and late night parties

- Festival Feature screening of Be With Me (12A)

The Festival will represent Deaf production and work presenting Deaf issues as widely as possible, including feature films and work transmitted on television as well as children’s films, students’ work and new productions from emerging talent.

Deadline for film submissions: 20th November 2006.
