Ideas Lab is an innovative new project established by The University of Birmingham in conjunction with Maverick Television, one of the UK's leading media production companies. Its aim is to bring the work of academics to television audiences. We're looking for:
You will shape and drive Ideas Lab. You'll be responsible for making Ideas Lab a success. You'll have significant experience in television, preferably in programme development, as well as the ability to work alongside academics. You'll have excellent communication skills, with enthusiasm to champion Ideas Lab locally and nationally, and the project-management skills needed to handle all aspects of the project, from budgeting to long-term strategy. This is an unprecedented opportunity, perfect for someone looking for a new and unusual challenge in TV. You'll be working with some of Britain's finest academics and some of the country's best programme-makers.
Starting salary £40,335 to £46,758 a year (potential progression on performance once in post to £49,607 a year).
