CREATIVE REGION LAUNCH EVENTS

A new £1 million regional pilot initiative is being launched in the West Midlands to support companies or individuals working in the Creative Industries sector.
The programme is funded by Advantage West Midlands, European Regional Development Fund and Birmingham City Council in partnership with Business Link West Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Culturegen, Light House, Coventry City Council and Creative Herefordshire.
In the West Midlands, 10.1% of regional employment (2004) and 14.5% of all businesses are in the Cultural and Creative Industries (2006) (Source: Growing the Cultural Economy in the West Midlands, Culture West Midlands 2007).
Creative Region will provide a comprehensive package of business support to aid the development and growth of Creative Industries businesses within the West Midlands Objective 2 area. The programme includes Feasibility, Creative Space and Business Support.
The Creative Region programme is being launched with a series of roadshow events with our regional partners across the region:
Coventry Tuesday 1st May, 11am – 5:30pm at the Broad Horizons Enterprise Centre, Broad Street, Coventry, CV6 5BN
Stoke Wednesday 2nd May, 11am – 5:30pm at the Britannia Suite, Regent Theatre Piccadilly, Stoke-On-Trent ST1 1AP
Hereford Thursday 3rd May 11am – 5:30pm at the Left Bank Village, Bridge Street, Hereford HR4 9DG
Wolverhampton Tuesday 8th May 11am – 5:30pm at the Light House, The Chubb Buildings, Fryer Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 1HT
