Another fantastic coup for Birmingham, when last Sunday Cineworld on Broad Street saw the red-carpet Gala Screening of "Confetti"- the lastest feature film to come from the West Midlands.

The comedy about a wedding competition is directed by local film-maker Debbie Isitt and stars a host of British comedy talent including Alison Steadman, Jimmy Carr, Martin Freeman, Olivia Colman, Meredith MacNeill, Stephen Mangan, Felicity Montagu and Robert Webb.

A host of the region's best creative talent attended the red-carpet event. The screening was followed by a lively Q&A with Debbie, along with stars Jessica Stevenson, Jason Watkins and Vincent Franklin.

It's another success for Screen West Midlands, who co-financed the film, following their recent award-winning production The Road To Guantanamo. A further two feature films financed by the regional screen agency are due out later this year.

Confetti is due for UK release on May 5th.
