Co-production is becoming an increasingly viable option for independent producers who are looking to finance their projects. Join the Producers’ Forum for an afternoon of talks, discussion and case studies from producers experienced in this field. The aim of this event is to:
Clarify how co-production works and what the difference is between a majority and minority co-producer.
Update producers on the UK co-production treaties available and what this means.
Present a number of case studies from producers who have been involved in co-productions.
Examine different ways of finding a suitable co-producer.
Guest speakers include:
- Rebecca O’brien (Producer, The Wind That Shakes The Barley)
- JJ Lousberg (UK Film Council)
- Isabel Davis (UK Film Council)
- Christine Alderson (Producer, Ipso Facto Films)
