- Closing date 29th June 2007 - Fri 12th and Sat 13th October 2007
Each year Co-operative Young Film-Makers holds a festival at the National Media Museum, Bradford UK. We screen 100 short films made by children and young people on the big screen - and yours could be one of them. Pick up a camera, be co-operative, be creative. Express yourself.
Imagine sitting in the audience of the plush 300-seater cinema and experiencing the anticipation and excitement as your film comes to life on the big screen. Soak up the atmosphere as people laugh/cry/cheer/applaud your work.
But that’s not all. The festival offers you the opportunity to receive feedback and advice on your film from our friendly film professionals. We also hold a wide range of fantastic events designed to inspire and encourage. Learn new skills, try out equipment, chat to experts, network and swap ideas.
"Co-operative Young Film-Makers is a fantastic opportunity for any young film-maker. First and foremost you get to see your work on the big screen. I saw all of my early shorts in front of packed houses at the National Media Museum. It was great and inspired me ever onward."
Edgar Wright – Director of hit film ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’
We are currently working on an exciting new identity and website for the festival, packed full of info and resources. All will be revealed soon. In the meanwhile, if you have any queries please see the frequently asked questions below. We'll be in touch as soon as the new website is available. If you don't wish to receive further info, simply email back with 'remove' as the subject.
