BUDGETING AND SCHEDULING WORKSHOPS WITH THE PRODUCERS' FORUM

On Tuesday 9th October, the Producers’ Forum will be inviting David Ball from CF1 to host our ‘Budgeting and Scheduling for Feature Films’ workshop. David will be carrying out a case study of a £1 million feature film he has recently worked on.

The seminar will explore the correct working practice for producers when breaking the script down into strips and offer tips and advice for creating realistic budgets and schedules.

On Wednesday 10th October, the Forum is running a day long workshop focusing on the programmes EP Budgeting and EP Scheduling, now considered to be the industry standard tool for feature film line producers. David will take the audience through the programme, answering specific questions from the audience along the way. The programme will look at:

- Getting a basic feel for the right number
- Discussing formats and cost effectiveness
- Setting the intelligent "globals" such as prep, shoot, wrap, edit and mix weeks
- Setting fringes and currencies
- Compiling the ‘below’ and ‘above’ the line budget
- Compiling the Post Production budget
- Reflection on initial figures
- Finalising the budget for presentation

Location: BAYC Centre, 581 Pershore Road, Birmingham, B29 7EL

Wednesday 10th October: 10.00 – 17.30
