The Birmingham Black International Film Festival (BIF FESTIVAL) is calling for all film submissions for this year’s festival,

due to take place in Birmingham, UK, 26th Oct – 1st Nov 2008, with the chance of a shortlist place at this year’s Awards[1] ceremony!

The BIF FESTIVAL is a film festival with a difference! Incorporating Music, ‘Live’ Arts, and Education, it provides platforms for

practitioners and artistes to express themselves, thus facilitating the culturally diverse emerging identities in the community through

new and challenging ways.

The FESTIVAL comprises five core elements; Film Screening, Music Events, Performance Events, Educational Workshops, and the MVS Awards.

Submissions are not exclusive to people of colour, but must either feature people of colour, address Black issues, be produced by people of colour, or have

significant involvement in the film production by people of colour.
