Birmingham based Media Consultant, Steve Chapman has been in contact with the Producers' Forum because he has been in correspondence with a young film maker from South Africa. Nhlanhla Mosele has a proposal to make a feature-length documentary on the subject of Steve Biko, the black South African anti-apartheid activist who died in police custody in 1977 and is widely believed to have been murdered.

Nhlanhla Mosele, plans to focus on the contribution of Biko to the Black Consciousness Movement, through interviews and use of archive footage.

Steve hasn’t met Nhlanhla but says he comes over as very committed and passionate. His draft documentary proposal is clearly written and well researched, with a good knowledge of the subject. Nhanhla is looking for a co-producer to help raise finance, develop the concept and address distribution and exhibition.
