We’re looking for the strongest idea that is the most musically inspired. Your film could be a straight promo, a short drama, animation or even a documentary.

We will commission three New Music Shorts in 2008. The winners will get to work with Warp Films and up to £5,000 to make your film, which will be premiered live and online at the BBC Electric Proms in October.

How to enter

You need to choose one of the music tracks provided and explain your film idea as inspired by that track. You will then need to fill in the online application form, where you will be asked to explain your idea in more detail.

To complete your application you will need to provide evidence of previous film making or programme making experience by sending us an example of your work (on DVD or PAL VHS).
