A bored security guard falls for the new cleaner (played by comedienne Jo Enright) in a charming romantic comedy set in the Rotunda.

Into_Pieces (Dir: Babis Alexiadis)
An animated dance in the city - with a difference!

The Wild Party (Dir: Rosie Kay)
Based on a jazz age poem, this dance drama combines ballet and contemporary dancers with actors in an intimate setting.

Two wheelchair users prepare for a date in this honest look at romantic expectations.

A very beautiful animated tale of two paper boats sailing down a river. A journey of life, with a Welsh narration.

Four people discuss a man and come to the same conclusion - who was he?

A farmer suffers some pesky rabbits in this amusing animation.

THE OTHER CINEMAS

A lively Q&A about Birmingham's two independent cinemas, the Electric and mac. With Tom Lawes, filmmaker and owner of the Electric, and Frances Longley, mac's Communications Director. How do these venues survive in a mainstream world and what do they do? Come and find out.

Birmingham's Bhangra Boys
Shown on Desi DNA, this clip looks at the history of Bhangra in Brum which was curated at exhibition From Soho Road to the Punjab.

Starring Michael Greco (Beppe from East Enders) and set against the backdrop of the gangster world, this horror film mixes supernatural suspense with gritty, urban realism.

Ex-Duran Duran singer Andy Wickett and composer of Girls On Film introduces the delightful Candy Wicked.

PREMIERE

Cracked Glastonbury (Dir: Mark Pressdee)
Self-confessed 'Skunkrockers' the Cracked Actors, a fusion of ska, reggae, punk and rock ("one of the best unsigned bands in Birmingham" Kerrang Radio 2004) have been filmed over the past two years in a poignant rockumentary by local filmmaker Mark Pressdee. Follow the highs and lows as the band prepare to realise their dream of performing Glastonbury Festival 2005. A fun and insightful film that portrays the real underbelly and excitement for any band wanting to perform at the 'Holy Grail' of the festival scene - Glastonbury!

CRACKED ACTORS
Meet the band and filmmakers directly after the screening as the Cracked Actors perform a live set following the film, making this Birmingham's first 'Rock and Roll' premiere! An unmissable event!

An animated pursuit from UCE Birmingham Institute of Art & Design.

Animated sibling rivalry from UCE BIAD.

La Foule (The Crowd) (Dir: Nigel Taylor)
A simple glance at a passing woman is enough for romance in this mix of live action and animation from UCE BIAD.

Eminent scientist Dr. Myles has vanished, so this is a job for unlikely superhero M Man. Animation from Light House.

An abridged version of Shakespeare, performed by Stage 2.

LOCAL SHORTS FILM CLUB

A half hour taster of the monthly film night that showcases Local Short filmmaking talent, hosted by Mark Pressdee and Nigel Amson. Featuring Johnny Watkins Walks on Water by Debbie Isitt (who made Confetti and Nasty Neighbours), along with an eclectic mix of other films. Local Shorts is supported by Creative Pathways.
