To serve the needs of the creative media industries in the West Midlands, Walsall College has partnered with Soho Editors Training, the largest Apple post-production training provider in Europe to offer Apple Accredited Training.
The training will be taking place at the recently launched Walsall College Apple Accredited Training Centre for Education, which was officially opened by Sir Digby Jones, Former Director-General of the CBI. The Apple Academy itself is a state-of-the-art training suite. With a maximum of 6 trainees to a class, each candidate has their own Mac G5 with 2 screens on which to learn, creating a superb learning environment.
Courses on offer will cover the full range of Apple professional applications, with a focus on Final Cut Pro, the non-linear editing platform currently being adopted by organisations such as the BBC, MTV and Abbot Mead Vickers.
The first round of courses will begin September 2006 and are as follows.
