The programme of the 20th Leeds International Film Festival will bring cineastes more than 300 features and shorts from across the world between 2nd and 12th November 2006. From the spine chilling films contained in Fanomenon, the best of home grown talent in UK Film Week or the gala and special guests in the Official Selection, there’s something to appeal to everyone.

The Film Festival opens with a screening of Roger Michell’s VENUS a bittersweet comedy drama starring Leslie Philips and Peter O’Toole and written by Hanif Kureshi. The screening will be attended by director Roger Michell, star Jodie Whittaker, Corinne Bailey Rae (who provided the soundtrack) and producer Kevin Loader.
